Denver Metro Chamber partners with Molson Coors for 150th anniversary beer

Tasting panel includes governor and business leaders

There’s a saying in Colorado: whiskey’s for drinking, water’s for fighting – and beer’s for celebrating. To commemorate 150 years in business, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce will host a special beer tasting on Thursday, July 6, in collaboration with Colorado’s largest and longest-standing brewer, Molson Coors Brewing Company.

WHAT: A panel of beer experts and enthusiasts will taste a variety of beers brewed by Molson Coors Brewing Company. They will select a winning beer that will be poured at the Chamber’s 150th anniversary party on its founding day, Monday, Nov. 13.

John Hickenlooper, Molson Coors Brewing Company President and CEO Mark Hunter, Chamber President and CEO Kelly Brough and current Chamber Board of Directors Chair Todd Munson and Chair-elect Denise Burgess. Master Cicerone Dan Imdieke will lead the tasting panel. The first Coloradan to receive the highest beer expertise credential and one of only 13 in the nation with this title, Imdieke is the trade brewer for Molson Coors’ U.S. craft division, Tenth and Blake.
