One Stage, Two Parties, All Business

Leaders from the Colorado General Assembly and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce will share their priorities, predictions and plans for business-focused legislation on Thursday, Jan. 4, the week before the Colorado General Assembly convenes for its 2018 session.

WHAT: The fifth annual Business Legislative Preview, hosted by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Colorado Competitive Council in collaboration with the Denver Business Journal.

WHO: Party leadership from both houses—Speaker of the House Crisanta Duran (D-Denver), House Minority Leader Patrick Neville (R-Castle Rock), Senate President Kevin Grantham (R-Cañon City) and Senate Minority Leader Lucia Guzman (D-Denver)—will discuss the session with moderator Ed Sealover, capitol reporter for the Denver Business Journal, in front of an audience of hundreds of business leaders.

Chamber President and CEO Kelly Brough will also outline the Chamber’s key legislative priorities, including addressing the rising cost of health care, improving the financial soundness of Colorado PERA, promoting workforce development for youth and expanding uses for reclaimed water.
