ActivateIT provides tuition-free IT training, preparing you for the first or next step of your tech career. You’ll find training for a variety of careers, including application developer, network support engineer, data engineer, quality engineer and security operations center analyst. These courses cover programming languages, business skills and related topics.

Special Requirements: Authorization to work in the United States, 18 and over, high school diploma or GED, be under or unemployed, work only sometimes throughout the year, work part time.

Time: Six to 18 weeks

Credentials Available: Connections to employment and six months’ ongoing professional and personal coaching post-placement

Google IT Support Professional Certificate

This 5-course certificate, developed by Google, includes innovative curriculum designed to prepare you for an entry-level role in IT support. A job in IT can mean in-person or remote help desk work in a small business or at a global company like Google.

Cost: Free to $49 per month

Special Requirements: Interest in working in IT field.

Time: 6 months

Credentials Available: IT Support Professional Certificate, 12 college credits

Google IT Automation with Python Certificate

This new beginner-level, six-course certificate, developed by Google, is designed to provide IT professionals with in-demand skills, including Python, Git and IT automation, that can help you advance your career.

Turing School

Turing offers two fully immersive programs, Front-End Engineering and Back-End Engineering, that provide you with the necessary skills to launch a career in software development. 

Cost: $20,000 with scholarships and financial aid available 

Special Requirements: Looking for candidates with empathy, grit, a strong growth mindset, an aptitude for logical problem solving and a passion for programming. You don’t need any prior experience, but most successful candidates have tried coding to see if it’s something they enjoy.

SecureSet Academy

SecureSet PREP Online workshops will teach you the fundamentals of cybersecurity, networks, systems and python.

AWS Educate

Explore Cloud Career Pathways to learn the top skills in leading cloud careers. Staff Staffing, LLC

Staff Staffing is a fullservice staffing, training and coaching company, specializing in providing IT professionals for full-time, contract and contract-to-hire. They offer multiple CompTIA, A+ and Networking courses starting soon.

Skilled Trades Training Resources

Find training opportunities for a career in construction, carpentry, plumbing, and other skilled trades.

VIRTUAL Construction Careers Now

This program provides OSHA 10 Safety training certification, and an exposure to the following Skilled trades: Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Pipefitting and Plumbing, Concrete, and Heavy Equipment Operating. The CCN Program will conclude with a Virtual Hiring Fair. 

Cost: Free 

Special Requirements: 17+ years old, Colorado resident, must have sound and internet access via computer, tablet, or phone to participate. 

Time: Four weeks 

Credentials Available:Emily Griffith Technical College CCN completion certificate along with an OSHA-10 safety card 


CrossPurpose is a career and community development program designed to empower you to start a new career, unlock your potential and meet your goals. 

Cost: Free. Get paid up to $200/month while you’re in training.  

Special Requirements: Age 18 to 55, high school diploma or GED, have stable housing, minimum of six months sobriety from hard drugs (cocaine, heroin, meth, etc.), and desire to work fulltime.  

Time: Six- to nine-month programs 

Credentials Available: Certificates in the medical and trades fields. Alsoprofessional coaching, personal development and community support to achieve a long-term career.

Mi Casa Resource Center

Mi Casa offers a technical training program that prepares job-seekers for frontline roles in the financial service industry. Throughout the training participants get in-depth practice in high demand skills that financial service companies are looking for, they receive individualized coaching on resumes, cover letters and interviewing. 

Cost: Free 

Special Requirements: Authorized to work in the U.S., 18 years old by the end of the training, Score 8th Grade or higher on the TABE test, High School Diploma or Equivalent 

Time: 16 days, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am – 12 pm ARE REQUIRED MEETING TIMES +8 hours of self-paced learning

Credentials AvailableParticipants are eligible to receive up to 9 college credits through our Stackable Credential program with CCA and MSU Denver.

Culinary Quick Start

The Culinary Quick Start program (CQS) is a fast-track program offered through Emily Griffith Technical College designed for immediate career connections. In only three weeks, participating students will acquire the skills needed to enter the workforce quickly as a qualified culinary professional. After learning exactly what employers are looking for in the industry, students participate in resume and interview preparation to further prepare them for a hiring fair at the end of the course with leading companies in the area looking for new talent. Over 500 CQS graduates are now working in the culinary industry in the Denver Metro Area, since the program started in 2017.

Cost: Free

Special Requirements: 16+ years of age. No academic requirements. No previous culinary experience needed. Must be a Colorado resident. Virtual classes via ZOOM so participants need a computer, tablet or smartphone with internet access to participate.

Time: 3 weeks. Classes are Monday-Wednesday 5:30pm-7:30pm and Thursday 5:30pm-8:30pm.

Credentials Available: Graduates earn their ServSafe Certification and a Certificate of Completion

Lives Empowered

Lives Empowered offers free training and credentials if you are looking to move up in the retail, hospitality, or food and beverage industries or use your skills to transition into a new industry. Their training includes Career Readiness Bootcamp, Retail Industry Fundamentals Credentials, Customer Service and Sales, and Business of Retail: Operations and Profit.  

Cost: Free  

Special Requirements: Interest in customer service, sales, retail, and growing your career  

Time: 5 to 20 hours, self-paced online content

Colorado Food Handlers Training

The purpose of the food handlers card training program is to prepare food handlers to enter the workforce by providing the required food safety information as specified by regulations of the workers’ state or local government. 

Cost: $10 

Special Requirements:  Anyone entering the workforce to work with food 

Time:  30 minutes (Start and stop as needed) 

Credentials Available:  Completing an approved food safety course will award you with a Colorado Food Handlers Card
