If you had the chance to pick a superpower, what would it be? Would it be strength, telepathy or invisibility? Toti Cadavid, Chamber board member and president and transformation strategist for U-Fulfilled, shared how you can make sales your superpower and find your unique brand of selling:

Be Yourself. Your personal brand is what ultimately makes the sale. Find your sales authenticity – what makes you connect to what you’re selling and who you’re selling to. Cadavid says selling is 15 percent head and 85 percent heart and soul. Share your heart – who you are – with your customers, because at the end of the day they want to make that connection.

Sell to “Unconscious Consumers.” Customer’s emotions, long-term memory and feelings are outside of their conscious awareness. They’re in their unconsciousness, but that influences their decisions. Find a way to break into the unconscious. Decisions are an emotional action, and as a marketer you’ll want to make intentional decisions to make your unconscious consumer aware. Check out four subconscious secrets to make the sale.

Dig Deep. A consumer’s buying behaviors are influenced by deeper issues. Find out WHAT they want – ask questions and listen. Often what the consumer wants isn’t what they initially say. Develop the art of listening to discover what your customer is looking for to make that sale.

Find Your Achievement Drive.  Your achievement drive is the multiplier of your other sales abilities – it’s the extent to which we desire to reach certain goals. Your WHY determines HOW you sell. Your why is the reason for selling a certain product or service, but your how is your passion. Aligning your why with your how means you’ll be more approachable and reliable to your customer.

Pay Attention to Your Emotions. How you feel matters, and it influences your success.  Cadavid’s trick to overcome your emotions is to recalibrate, from your mental and physical wellbeing to the energy of the space you’re in. Take a step back, check in and bring your true self to the table.

What superpower has worked for you to boost your sales?
