Business leaders and elected officials will celebrate Small Business Saturday by visiting food-focused businesses in the RiNo neighborhood of Denver Saturday morning.
WHAT: The day after Black Friday marks Small Business Saturday, a day to support the local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country.
WHO: Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock, U.S. Congresswoman Diana DeGette and Denver Metro Chamber President and CEO Kelly Brough will shop together stopping at The Preservery.
The Preservery owners Whitney and Obe Ariss are clients of the Chamber affiliate, the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center. The Arisses have become mentors for other food startups, and use their retail space to showcase multiple Denver Metro SBDC clients. Fellow small food business owners of The Real Dill, Backyard Soda Co. and The Honest Stand. Those business owners—Justin Park, Patrick Creager and Alex Carone, respectively—will join the Arisses at The Preservery on Saturday.
WHERE: The Preservery is located at 3040 Blake St., No. 101.
WHEN: The group will visit The Preservery from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
