2023 Business Awards Economic Driver of the Year

Each year, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce recognizes organizations that are writing Denver’s next chapter in business. Join us for the 2023 Business Awards presented by BOK Financial on April 27, 2023 to see the winners in our six categories announced live! Congratulations to this year's Economic Driver of the Year,  Grant Thornton LLP. Get to know the organization more below.

For nearly four decades, Grant Thornton LLP has had a presence in Metro Denver – in addition to its current global market reach. The national accounting firm is heavily involved in Metro Denver through its community partners, such as Mile High United Way and Junior Achievement, to raise charitable dollars and awareness of nonprofit programming in the community.

With an expansive background in public accounting, Lori Davis has been managing partner at Grant Thornton LLP for nearly 10 years. She finds the Metro Denver business community to be very warm and friendly, especially to newcomers to the area. “The openness [in the Metro Denver business community] is very helpful for us to get to know people, gain market share and grow our practice,” Lori expressed.

As a way to engage and show its care for its employees, Grant Thornton LLP offers 40 hours of volunteer time to each staff member so they can lend their time and volunteer where – and for the causes – they feel most passionate about.

Upon finding out Grant Thornton LLP was named Economic Driver of the Year, Lori emphasized how exciting it is for the organization to be recognized for its role in the success of the region. “It’s a nice way to acknowledge that what were doing is the right thing.”

The 2023 Business Awards Woman or BIPOC-owned Business of the Year award is presented by FIRST ONSITE.
