A Leadership Denver 2015 alum, Lynnea Louison Hutton participated in the region's premier leadership program because she knew it was a great way to engage in the community and get more deeply involved in the metro Denver region.

For her, the 11-month time commitment is worth the effort – and she says it's worth it for others if getting involved in the community is your goal. "The exposure and relationships [I made] were so impactful. I would have never met such a cross section of unique people," Lynnea said.

Her fondest memory from the program was the two-day retreat. While she admits she was nervous at first, she left with deep connections she never knew was possible to make, especially in this chapter of her life.

"Whenever I run into someone from Leadership Denver, I go straight to being honest and authentic," Lynnea said. "You don't have to put on a front because we [got to know] each other so well."

Do you want to get started in your leadership journey? Applications are open for the 2023 Leadership Denver class. Apply by June 6.
