Colorado Companies Making an Impact

AT&T launched a text-to-give campaign and contributed $35,000 to The Colorado Healing Fund and Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation to help respond to the immediate and long-term needs of the Boulder community.

BOK Financials' Biz Bash donated more than $310,000 to Kids First Health Care and A Precious Child. Since its inception, the Biz Bash has distributed more than $6 million to nonprofits in Colorado and Arizona.

CoBank launched its annual Sharing Success program. The $4 million fund matches donations by the bank’s cooperative and customers to nonprofit organizations. Since 2012, they've donated more than $56 million.

Comcast will give 13,000 BIPOC-owned small businesses technology makeovers and marketing services from Comcast RISE and will provide $5 million in grants.

COPIC Medical Foundation's 2021 funding cycle focused on initiatives designed to reduce fragmentation across care settings. Grantees received a total of $775,000.

Fast Company released its 2021 Most Innovative Companies List and Twilio has been named #1 in the enterprise category and #38 overall.

Gates released its 2020 Sustainability Report. Gates’ report features initiatives and programs organized around Gates’ four pillars of sustainability – governance, technology, the environment and stewardship.

Molson Coors has partnered with TRU Colors to provide an equity investment and strategic partnership to scale its mission. TRU Colors is a brewery that hires Wilmington gang members and those involved to combat street violence and unite the community.

The 2021 Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For recognizes companies for supporting their people and communities. B:CIVIC members honored include Bank of America, Comcast, KPMG and Twilio. 

The Janus Henderson Foundation expanded its partnership with the Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF). With the support, DSF can establish a new named scholarship to support students.

Southwest Airlines joined forces with the National Forest Foundation to plant 50,000 trees, 1,000 for each year of service in honor of its 50th anniversary and Earth Day.

Vail Resorts partnered with the National Forest Foundation to expand its regional capacity to further engage Colorado communities in setting priorities for restoration projects and trail work supported by the WRNF Ski Conservation Fund.

Benevity released The State of Corporate Purpose focused on five key trends that will inform the future of corporate purpose.

JUST Capital launched a Corporate Racial Equity Tracker to fill the gaps and incentivize companies to take meaningful steps to advance racial equity. Featuring B:CIVIC members AT&T, Bank of America, Comcast, DaVita, Lockheed Martin, PNC, Southwest Airlines, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo, it focuses on six specific dimensions of racial equity.

LBG Associates is looking for participants for a study on effective and adaptable employee relief funds. The study will address the challenges around establishing or growing funds, and share success stories and innovative ideas. Join the study.

The DeBoskey Group shared with the Denver Business Journal the business case for corporate social responsibility, increased philanthropy and acting with purpose.
