Nearly 150 years ago, the Chamber was formed to keep our economy and our community on track and connect Colorado to the nation by rail. Today we face a new set of challenges. At this year’s Annual Meeting, on Sept. 12 at the Marriott City Center, you’ll hear how we plan to tackle five pivotal issues that will shape our future and ensure that our economy will not become derailed.
The Annual Meeting is not only a time to look ahead to the future but also a time to celebrate accomplishments from the last year and recognize those who have been invaluable to our organization.
Chamber board chair Donna Lynne, executive vice president of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, will reflect on the past year and pass the gavel to incoming chair Bob Deibel, president and owner of OfficeScapes.
We’ll also thank Chamber members who went the extra mile. The Del Hock Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to an individual whose wisdom, involvement and leadership have played a significant role in the Chamber and the Denver metro community. The four Chamber Champions, who have been awarded throughout the year, will again be recognized for their involvement and support of the Chamber while utilizing their membership to its fullest.
As we look ahead at the meeting, Deibel will share how the Chamber will help solve challenges like transportation, energy, water, education and engaging Independent voters that could sidetrack Colorado’s growth and prosperity.
