We Don’t Waste believes nutritious food should go to people, not landfills. We Don't Waste reduces hunger and food waste in the Denver area by recovering quality, unused food from the food industry and delivering it free-of-charge to food pantries, soup kitchens, schools, and shelters serving those in need, as well as directly to the community through free Mobile Food Markets. Since 2009, We Don’t Waste has recovered and distributed millions of servings of food to food-insecure families and individuals.

Canstruction Colorado

Are you a part of a team of talented architects, designers, or engineers? Canstruction Colorado is an international competition that raises awareness of food insecurity, provides food to local families, and celebrates the innovation of local businesses! Teams construct massive sculptures entirely out of canned food for public exhibit while competing for awards. We Don't Waste is still looking for the last few teams to participate. Bread to Beer Keg Tapping Party & Earth Month Spelling Bee

April 3, 2026

We Don't Waste, Denver's leading independent food recovery nonprofit, has partnered with Rebel Bread and Odell Brewing Co. to create the second batch of the Wheat Don't Waste ale, a wheat-ey ale with citrus and raspberry notes brewed from surplus, recovered bread! There will also be an adult spelling bee themed around Earth Month, with prizes for the winner. Grab a beer, bring a friend, and try to bring home some prizes for remembering how to spell "conservation".
