From air quality control rulemaking and apprenticeships to consumer protection and electronic business communication, the Denver Metro Chamber is weighing in on legislation left and right (pun intended ?) this legislative session. Here are positions we took on five bills this week.
Air Quality Control
- Chamber supports Senate Bill 125: “Alternate Proposals Air Quality Control Rulemaking,” Sen. John Cooke (R-Greeley)
Apprenticeships
- Chamber supports Senate Bill 119: “Increasing Access to High Quality Credentials,” Sen. Jeff Bridges (D-Greenwood Village) and Sen. Paul Lundeen (R-Monument)
- Chamber opposes unless amended House Bill 1007: “State Apprenticeship Agency,” Rep. Tom Sullivan (D-Centennial), Rep. David Ortiz (D-Littleton), Sen. Jessie Danielson (D-Lakewood) and Sen. Robert Rodriguez (D-Denver)
Conducting Remote Business
- Chamber supports House Bill 1124: “Expand Ability Conduct Business Electronically,” Rep. Shannon Bird (D-Westminster), Rep. Matt Soper (R-Delta) and Sen. Pete Lee (D-Colorado Springs)
Colorado Consumer Protection Act
- Chamber opposes House Bill 1093: “Remedies In Class Actions Consumer Protection Act,” Rep. Steven Woodrow (D-Denver) and Sen. Robert Rodriguez (D-Denver)
