Changes to Terms

The Chamber reserves the right to change or modify these Terms and Conditions or any policy pertaining to The Chamber’s Services, in whole or in part, at any time and in its sole discretion. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately and may be posted to denverchamber.org/terms, so please check back from time to time. You waive any right you may have to receive specific notice of such changes or modifications, and your continued access to or participation in The Chamber’s Services following any such changes or modifications confirms your acceptance.

Inclusivity Statement

The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and related entities (“Chamber”) provide inclusive experiences for all event attendees, allowing for an open and respectful exchange of ideas and the freedom of thought and expression. We want every participant to feel welcome, included and safe at our meetings and events. We will do our best to accommodate event attendees’ specific needs such as accessibility or dietary requirements. We do not promise to solve every issue but will try our best.

Code of Conduct

The Chamber provides an event environment that is free of discrimination and harassment. Actions, words, jokes or comments based on an individual’s gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, immigration status, age, experience, religion or lack thereof, physical appearance, body size, disability, veteran status, profession, or any other legally protected characteristic are not tolerated. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any event, including anything communicated before, during, or after the event, including on social media or any other online outlet. Sexual harassment is strictly prohibited.

An event attendee who experiences an incident of sexual or other harassment should promptly report the matter to any Chamber staff member at the event or to the Chamber’s leadership team after the event. Reports to staff at an event will be escalated to the most senior staff member present. Event attendees can raise concerns and make reports confidentially and without fear of reprisal.

Any event attendee who engages in harassment or discrimination on an ongoing basis may be banned. Appropriate legal action will be taken against violators if applicable.

Payment Policies

Dues Refund Policy. The Chamber has a no refund policy on membership dues. Members have the opportunity to terminate their membership at any time and for any reason without refund. Invoices are generated at the time the services are performed, and are sent to the member for payment. Once paid, these payments are non-refundable. The Chamber reserves the right to terminate membership or an individual’s involvement at any time and in its sole discretion.

Event Registration Cancellation Policy. The Chamber plans for events based on registrant participation. In order to properly plan for catering, venue expenses, and marketing efforts we cannot grant refunds to any of our events. All sales are final. However, registration for an event is transferable to another individual if the original attendee is unable to attend.

Program Registration Cancellation Policy. The Chamber hosts a number of programs that are exclusive and require greater lead-times to secure catering, venues, transportation and production teams. These programs typically allow a window in which a participant may cancel and receive either a full or partial refund. Beyond the stated cancellation window for a program, participant fees and are subject to the program attrition policy and may be subject to our collections .

Event Cancellation Policy. The Chamber reserves the right to refuse/cancel event registrations. If the Chamber refuses a registration, registrants will be offered a full refund. The Chamber reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment, inclement weather or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If the Chamber cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered options to roll-over their event fees to the postponed event or receive a refund.

Sponsorship Cancellation Policy. The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce does not offer refunds on any sponsorships. The Chamber reserves the right to terminate sponsorship or marketing/promotional services at any time at its sole discretion, if  the Chamber determines that  actions or inactions of the Sponsor, its directors or officers would diminish, tarnish, injure, or damage the Chamber’s or the Program’s reputation or affect the legal standing of the Chamber.

Marketing Services Cancellation Policy. Marketing services are not refundable and must be used in the year purchased unless other arrangements are agreed to by both parties in writing.

Consent, Waiver and Release

When you attend a Chamber event or program, you enter an area where interviews, photography, and audio and/or video recording may occur.

By entering the event premises, and in consideration of the benefit to be derived by you through your attendance at the event, you consent to interviews, photography, audio recording, and video recording, and to display, publicly perform, exhibit, transmit, broadcast, reproduce, record, photograph, digitize, modify, alter, edit, adapt, create derivative works, exploit, sell, rent, license, otherwise use and permit others to use, your name, image, likeness, appearance, voice, and other personal characteristics, and all materials created by or on behalf of the Chamber or its affiliates that incorporate any of the foregoing (“Materials”), on a perpetual basis throughout the world and in any medium or format whatsoever now existing or hereafter created, including but not limited to, in and on magazines, brochures and other print publications, electronic, magnetic and optical media, television broadcasts, radio broadcasts, press releases, the internet, for any purpose, including but not limited to advertising, public relations, publicity, packaging and promotion of the Chamber and its affiliates and their activities and services, without further consent from you, approval by you, or royalty, payment or other compensation to you.

You waive and release the Chamber, its affiliates, and its directors, officers, employees, members, and sponsors, and each and all persons involved, from any liability in connection with the foregoing matters to which you have given your consent.

You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver, and release before entering the event.
