2021 Business Awards Minority or Women-Owned Business of the Year Finalists

In the face of a pandemic, the finalists for the Denver Metro Chamber’s Minority or Women-Owned Business Award stepped up and continued to provide excellent services to their customers. The Chamber is thrilled to announce this year’s finalists: Aim High Chiropractic, Novitas Communications and Workplace Resource.

Aim High Chiropractic offers care focused on the neuromusculoskeletal system of the body to eliminate pain, treat and prevent injuries and disorders of the muscles, bones and nerves. Founders, brothers Dr. Conrad and Victor Bui, saw firsthand how chiropractic care made a difference in the health of their mother who finally felt relief from pain stemming from a minor car accident after regular visits to a chiropractor. Aim High was founded with the goal of providing non-English speaking patients with health care, a mission that is still central to Aim High’s service today. With four locations throughout Denver, Aim High provides non-invasive treatment across the metro area.

Novitas Communications provides fully integrated public relations and communications campaigns for a wide range of clients. Founded in 2008 by Michelle Lyng, Novitas offers corporate communications, crisis communications, digital media, issue management and public and media relations. Through a partnership with the Public Relations Global Network, Novitas has 51 sister agencies across six continents. Novitas prides itself on integrity, excellence and entrepreneurial spirit. In the communications field, a majority of entry-level positions are held by women, but a majority of leadership positions are held by men. Novitas is working to increase the number of women in leadership roles by encouraging professional development for all their employees.

Workplace Resource creates innovative workplace solutions that produce productive, engaging working environments across all industries. Providing specialized solutions for offices across industries has been a key aspect of Workplace Resource’s service for over 30 years. From furniture to architectural solutions, Workplace Resource guides clients each step of the way as they curate and design environments to fit each client’s specific needs. Proudly woman-owned, Workplace Resource was purchased from Herman Miller by current President and CEO Carla Dore in 2011. Workplace Resource provides mentorship for women and minorities through their work with the YMCA and Colorado State University.

Each year, the Chamber recognizes organizations that are writing Denver’s next chapter in business. Join us for the virtual 2021 Business Awards presented by BOK Financial on April 14, 2021.
