The Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation and TIED (Talent, Inclusion, Engagement & Diversity) Roundtable hosted an online discussion on April 21 on the importance of creating spaces of belonging for refugees, especially in Colorado.
Ndeye Ndao, community outreach specialist for the International Rescue Committee, introduced and moderated the discussion. She was joined by Erika Bodor, managing director at Project Worthmore, Yoal Kidane Ghebremeskel, co-founder and executive director at Street Fraternity, and Nga Vương-Sandoval, delegate for Colorado at Refugee Congress.

- DU Grad School of Professional Psychology has formed the Colorado Resilience Collaborative (funded by the office of Homeland Security) to counter targeted identity violence predominately against refugees, immigrants and people of color. This six module series is aimed to educate, inform and support the public-at-large experiencing any targeted identity violence. State legislators are also working with us to legislate support and prevention to diminish targeted identity violence. Access more information.
