Our alumni are making an impact in the community, and we’re inspired by their work to make Colorado a place where everyone has an opportunity to lead. Throughout the year, we’ve highlighted their work ranging from advancing racial equity to creating opportunities for youth to give back to veterans. We’re proud to have them in our Leadership Foundation family.

Celebrating Black History Month: February marked Black History Month, a time to celebrate and recognize the achievements and impacts of African Americans. In addition to honoring leaders who shaped our past, we want to celebrate alumni who are currently having an impact on our community. Meet our alums Brandon Bruce, Marti Champion and Yoal Kidane Ghebremeskel.

Celebrating Our Veteran Alumni for Their Service and Community Impact: On Veteran’s Day, we honor the millions of veterans who have served our country. Veterans, thank you for your service, your sacrifices, your leadership and our freedom. We want to recognize our veteran alumni for their service and their continued dedication to make a difference in our community. Get to know to alums Hark Herold, Michael Mitchel and Dawanta Parks.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: Hispanic Heritage Month, from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, is the celebration of the diverse history and culture of the U.S. Latinx and Hispanic communities and the positive impact those communities have on our society. We want to recognize alums Nathan Cadena, Kayla Garcia, Tariana Navas-Nieves, Rick Padilla and Marisol Solarte-Erlacher who are making a difference in our Latinx and Hispanic alumni community.

Celebrating Pride Month: June marked LGBTQ Pride Month, celebrating the impact that members of the LGBTQ communityhave had in Colorado and the world. We want to celebrate leaders who are making an impact for the LGBTQ community. Get to know alums Anthony Aragon, Justin Ball and Lydia McCoy.
