This weekend we celebrated two years with B:CIVIC. We’re thrilled that we can harness not only the power of individuals and their civic engagement through the Leadership Foundation, but also support businesses to do more good in the community through B:CIVIC.

See what B:CIVIC has been up to this past year:

Helping Businesses Engage in a Community Response. B:CIVIC stepped up its efforts to empower organizations and their people to do more for our communities. Representing the leaders in corporate social responsibility (CSR), they launched a five-part educational series in March and a COVID-19 resource website to share best practices from companies taking a stand through grantmaking, crisis communications, nonprofit support and virtual volunteering. The team also hosted 695 attendees at 15 virtual webinars, and nearly 1,500 attendees throughout the year, where community leaders shared stories of impact, current trends, best practices and community updates.

Colorado Companies Uniting Against Racism. Colorado CEOs have banded together with over 115 of their peers and taken a pledge to confront inherent inequalities and demand diversity, equity and inclusion in all that we do to act against racial injustice. B:CIVIC, alongside the Denver Metro ChamberDowntown Denver PartnershipInclusive Economy and Prosper Colorado, are supporting companies to deliver on these commitments. Take the pledge.

Toolkit to Engage Your Employees. To support companies in authentically inspiring CSR champions across their organizations, B:CIVIC developed a toolkit, Engaging Your Employees: Best Practices From the Field, featuring effective strategies modeled by nine local companies representing an array of sizes and industries. Check out the toolkit.

Join us at the Virtual B:CIVIC Summit on Oct. 22. The 2020 Summit (Re)Define is designed to support business leaders and CSR professionals as they (re)define CSR for the next decade. Together, we will explore best practices, connect with our peers and hear from local and national experts in the field who can guide us as we continue to focus on the business of making an impact in our communities. Register.

We’re excited to continue to support our alumni and the organizations they lead to elevate business for good in our community this year. Learn more about engaging with B:CIVIC and its 150 member companies and organizations.
