Companies Impact Moments

How some companies are supporting the Boulder County fires:

  • Alpine Bank contributed $20,000 to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund and sponsored the Grief Support Network's Mindful Grieving Program, a virtual six-week series open to all.
  • Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Pro Bono Program has been providing legal assistance to those impacted via a hotline and volunteering in limited- representation clinics. In addition, the firm contributed $50,000 to JEWISHcolorado and the American Red Cross.
  • Comcast employees helped in the Boulder County Emergency Operations Center and worked to ensure Xfinity and Comcast services were restored. Comcast also contributed $30,000 to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund.
  • Fidelity Investments contributed to the Boulder County Wildfire Fund. With guidance from the Center for Disaster Philanthropy, Fidelity also set up a dedicated webpage to assist employees seeking ways to support relief efforts.

How some companies are making an impact with CSR:

  • Giving back at the corporate level not only helps the community you live in, but your own organization as well. Learn strategies to give back from Brownstein Hyatt, who has giving back in its DNA.
  • CBRE made a $7.25 million commitment to help combat climate change globally, improve educational and career development opportunities for racial minorities and disadvantaged populations.
  • Charles Schwab shares the company’s largest disaster response effort to date, with millions of dollars distributed to communities in need.
  • In 2021, Delta Dental of Colorado and the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation contributed more than $7 million to the community. Delta Dental launched its four-year plan to carbon neutrality and inclusion and diversity journey.
  • First Western Trust understands the importance of an adaptable CSR strategy. The company’s CSR work is inspired by the evolving needs of the community it serves.
  • Otten Johnson invited stakeholders to vote for a nonprofit to receive a donation, in lieu of a holiday party. Otten Johnson contributed $21,000 to five Colorado organizations.
  • The RK Foundation celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2021 with a charity golf tournament raising more than $30,000. RK contributed $15,022 to nonprofit partners, Aurora Public Schools Foundation and The Wounded Warriors Foundation.
  • Southwest Airlines new CEO, Bob Jordan, said he's committed to maintaining a diverse workforce and continuing the airline's path to environmental sustainability, including a goal that achieves carbon neutrality by 2050.
  • Xcel Energy's 2021 Employee Choice Grant recipients, Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide and Teaching the Autism Community Trades will each receive a $10,000 grant.
