“I love the unexpected discoveries in our own backyard. Traveling Colorado and meeting with leaders across our state is an inspiring experience. You get to connect with the fabric of the community,” said Anthony Graves, director of regional affairs for the City and County of Denver and a Leadership Foundation board member.

Colorado Experience (CE) allows alums like Graves to connect to different parts of Colorado on a two-day, one-night exploration, hearing big ideas, learning from experts and reuniting with Leadership Foundation alums.

Graves has traveled to Colorado Springs and Boulder on CE and continues to immerse himself in all that the trip has to offer.

CE brings the best and brightest from Colorado communities together to discuss critical issues, and last year on the trip to Boulder delegates heard from Rob Katz, CEO of Vail Resorts on his unique leadership culture.

“I was struck by his methodical efforts to build a strong, high-performance culture, where he sought individuals who were passionate about their work,” Graves said.

This year we’re hitting the road to May 30-31 to Vail where we’ll hear from Luis Benitez, vice president of government relations and global impact for VF Corporation, leadership coach and former director of the Office of Outdoor Recreation Industry for the State of Colorado; Kim Langmaid, founder of Walking Mountains Science Center and Vail Town council member; Chris Romer, president and CEO of Vail Valley Partnership; and more.

Not only will you have the opportunity to hear from industry leaders, you’ll also have the chance to expand your network.

“CE provides an exciting opportunity to refresh your network and meet people who have recently become active in the Denver metro area,” Graves said.

Are you ready to make new connections? Get your seat for this year’s trip – we can’t wait to see you there.
