This past year showcased how important it is for leaders to be able to navigate uncertain times. I’m grateful to have 50 outstanding leaders in our community on our Board of Directors who are shaping our mission and giving civic leaders the tools they need to have tough conversations, build their expertise and find their voice to address complex community issues.

This July, we’ll welcome our 2021-22 Board of Directors to our Leadership Foundation family, including the following officers:

  • Chair: Andrea Fulton, deputy director and chief strategy officer for the Denver Art Museum
  • Chair-Elect: Adeeb Khan, vice president of corporate social responsibility for Delta Dental of Colorado and executive director of the Delta Dental Foundation
  • Past Chair: Anthony E. Graves, managing director of partnerships and innovation for the University of Colorado Denver
  • Secretary: Tyler Smith, area manager of community and local government affairs for Xcel Energy
  • Treasurer: Jason Romero, vice president, client advisor for JPMorgan

I’m thrilled to welcome 10 board members to our team – all who embody the values of Colorado's Civic DNA. They are leaders who are inspired to get involved in their communities. Meet our new board members:

  • Jessica Acosta, principal and CEO of Environmental Consulting Services
  • DJ Close, senior manager of village giving for DaVita
  • Kevin Keady, vice president of AECOM
  • Vanecia Kerr, chief impact officer for Mile High United Way
  • Erin Jones, executive vice president of FirstBank
  • Marie Logsden, co-founder of Ecologic Materials Corp
  • Tyler Lyons, executive vice president of Alpine Bank
  • Mark Spiecker, president of STAQ Pharma
  • Monica Williams, executive producer of The Equity Project LLC
  • Lynnea Greene-Hutton, senior director of operations for the University of Denver IAALS Institute

Join me in welcoming our new board members and thanking our Board Chair Anthony E. Graves and our entire board for their leadership this past year. We are grateful to our outgoing board members Akasha Absher, Kathie Barstnar, Jennifer Chang, Josh Craver, Norm Franke, Brent Geist, Gretta Mincer, Lorii Rabinowitz, Brandy Radey and Trey Rogers for their service to the Leadership Foundation over the years.
