Weather in Vail

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the dress code?

Our goal is for all of our guests to feel comfortable. The dress code is as mountain casual to dressy.

When visiting Vail in the fall, it’s important to pack for all weather conditions, as temperatures can change dramatically throughout the day. Some items to consider packing include a rain coat, baseball cap, sunscreen, and a light jacket or sweater.

Are children allowed at the evening events?

We love your children, but it’s time to let your hair down, our evening events will be for adults only.

Will the hotel have breakfast?

As our guest, we will have breakfast every day at the Four Seasons Resort from 8:30-10:30 AM. Breakfast Buffet and Omelet Station will be served in the Meadows Room. Find a staff member if you need assistance.

What activities are available in October?

October is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts with activities like hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and even a round of golf if weather permits. The cooler temperatures and fewer crowds make it ideal for exploring nature. You can also enjoy local spas, dining, and shopping in Vail Village.

The Four Seasons Resort concierge will be available to assist you with booking an activity.

Are restaurants and shops open in Vail in October?

Yes, but keep in mind that October is considered the “shoulder season” between summer and winter, so some restaurants and shops may have reduced hours or be temporarily closed in preparation for ski season. However, you’ll still find plenty of great places open, especially in Vail Village and Lionshead.
