Dan Lewis, current chief corporate affairs officer for Molson Coors Brewing Company, will join the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation (Leadership Foundation) as its executive director in July 2015.
“I am and always have been a great champion of the Leadership Foundation. I can think of few opportunities with a higher calling than leading this organization as we continue to positively impact this community,” Lewis said.
Having served as the chair of the board of directors for the Leadership Foundation from 2012 to 2013, Lewis brings deep knowledge of the Leadership Foundation and its work in the community, as well as over 25 years of private sector business leadership.
“To land an executive of this level and a true community leader is a huge win for the Leadership Foundation and Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce,” said Kelly Brough, president and CEO of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
“Dan is a perfect fit for this organization. He knows us and our investors so well and he’s spent his career putting into practice the leadership values we teach. The Leadership Foundation and the entire Chamber family are thrilled to have his passion and talent leading our work,” Brough said.
For the past eight years, Lewis has overseen corporate reputation, public affairs, communication, corporate responsibility and employee engagement for the nearly 15,000 members of the Molson Coors team worldwide. Prior to joining Molson Coors in 2006, Dan served as vice president and head of corporate communications for Delta Air Lines and director of international public relations for Lufthansa German Airlines.
“The entire Leadership Foundation team and board of directors are energized by this decision,” said Travis Webb, chair of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation board of directors, and managing partner at BKD, LLP.
“Having served our board of directors faithfully for years and with his great insight and vision, I am confident that Dan will enhance the work of the Foundation as executive director,” said Webb.
Dan holds a master of communication degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia and a bachelor of arts degree in international affairs and German from Florida State University. He has also served on the board of Mile High United Way and the Downtown Denver Partnership.
