Mizraim Cordero was named vice president of public affairs for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce today. Cordero will begin on Aug. 3.
Cordero was previously director of the Colorado Competitive Council (C3), an affiliate of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce focused on statewide business policy. Prior to that, he served as the intergovernmental relations manager for Commerce City.
“As an integral part of the Denver Metro Chamber team, Miz couldn’t be a better candidate to lead our public affairs team. With his dedication to enhancing Colorado’s economy and business climate, and the relationships he has built with C3, this is a huge win for us,” said Kelly Brough, president and CEO of the Chamber.
With his effort in driving C3’s mission, Cordero is focused on the success of Colorado’s business climate though education and direct advocacy at the state, federal and local levels.
“Being able to start this next chapter with an organization whose mission I so strongly support is an honor,” Cordero said. “I’m excited to focus on leading political influence on behalf of the Denver Metro Chamber and the business community in the metro Denver region.”
Cordero succeeds Charles Ward, who retires from the organization this month.
