On the Job Podcast: Second Acts: How to Pivot to a New Career

There isn’t one set path for a career.

Often it’s the people and experiences along the way that forge the path or create the fork in the road that leads to new opportunities.

But how do you know you’re ready to do something completely different? And how do you start on that new path?

In this episode of On the Job, host and Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Kelly Brough talks with Tara Dunn and Dan Lewis, two people who have transitioned to new fields, from suds to statutes and from for-profit to nonprofit.

Dunn started her career as senior vice president and director of Great Divide Brewing Company and co-founded the Colorado Brewer’s Guild before transitioning to practice corporate securities law, today with Perkins Coie. Lewis moved from a role overseeing global communications for international companies like Delta Air Lines and Molson Coors Brewing Company to serve as the executive director of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation.
