For 30 years, the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center (Denver Metro SBDC), has been an affiliate of the Chamber, focused on giving back to the small business community. From providing free and low-cost business resources to the partnerships and connections that let small business make big-business-sized impact in the community, the Denver Metro SBDC is ensuring small businesses have the tools to leave their mark.
Providing a Business Toolkit
The Denver Metro SBDC team helps clients pursue an entrepreneurship and become active community contributors, job creators and wealth producers. They work hard to make sure their clients reach their full entrepreneurial potential through their core services – free one-on-one consulting, training and programs.
The Denver Metro SBDC has served over 5,000 businesses since 1987 through consulting services. And, just this last year, it has provided business education and training to over 9,000 participants. They will match businesses with consultants whose expertise meets their needs. The consultants care about your growth and can help in nearly every area of your business, whether you’re just getting started or are already in business. The best part? It’s at no cost to you.
Meet the consultants and get started.
Community Collaboration
To give entrepreneurs and Colorado small business employees an opportunity to pay it forward to their community, the Denver Metro SBDC has teamed up with Mile High United Way.
“We’re proud of our current offerings of free technology, consulting and seminars, but we are extremely humbled with our new partnership with Mile High United Way,” said Abram Sloss, executive director of the Denver Metro SBDC. “Smaller companies play an enormous role in philanthropic endeavors, and to be part of extending Mile High United Way’s platform to the entrepreneurial community is very exciting.”
For the first time in Colorado, small businesses are invited to participate in a unique workplace campaign in which small businesses will unite to create better opportunities for all. Small businesses can participate in six volunteer opportunities throughout the year, attend Mile High United Way events and engage their employees in the community.
