Governor to reflect on session close at State of the State

Experts to discuss technology, transportation and investing in our future

Gov. John Hickenlooper will reflect on the 2018 session of the Colorado General Assembly to an audience of more than 700 metro area business leaders at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s State of the State presented by AT&T on Friday, May 11.

WHAT: State of the State is an opportunity for hundreds of business leaders to be among the first to hear from the governor following the close of the Colorado General Assembly session.

WHO: Gov. John Hickenlooper will share his assessment of the just-concluded legislative session and discuss upcoming priorities and issues faced by our state.

Rutt Bridges, executive director of Understanding Disruption, Inc., and Kellen Pucher, director of strategic initiatives for smart mobility at Panasonic, will lead a fast-paced discussion on transportation challenges facing Colorado, technology opportunities and the future of mobility here and beyond.

Chamber President and CEO Kelly Brough will talk about wins for the business community at the Capitol, and work still to be done – particularly transportation system funding.

The Chamber will also announce the recipient of its fifth annual Robert Blankenship Heart Award, named in memory of Blankenship, the former chief operating officer of the Chamber and a steward of the business community.
