Future of education in focus at State of the City

With the largest demand in the country for workers with post-secondary credentials, Colorado employers are focusing more and more on how to provide education and training. One business leader will share how organizations are beginning to do that at scale on Tuesday, July 30, at the State of the City following keynotes from Mayors Michael B. Hancock and Adam Paul.

WHAT: The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s State of the City luncheon, presented by United Airlines, is an annual event that engages 600 business professionals in a conversation with our metro area leaders each year about the future of the region.

 WHO: Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock and Metro Mayors Caucus Chair and Lakewood Mayor Adam Paul will provide keynote addresses, reflecting on the past year and looking forward on Denver and the region.

Bijal Shah, chief product and analytics officer for Guild Education will talk about the shifting paradigms of work, school and how we will train our workforce in the future.

Mayor Hancock will also recognize Damian J. Arguello, founder of the Colorado Insurance Law Center, as the recipient of the Monte Pascoe Civic Leadership Award, recognizing his leadership, work to improve the community and efforts to fight for justice and equal opportunity for all.

 WHEN: Tuesday, July 30: 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., networking and registration; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., luncheon and program.
