New Year, New Ways to Get Involved

I may not do resolutions, but I do set goals for myself and the Chamber – and, I’m sure all of you do the same for your companies. And, one of our goals is to ensure you achieve all of yours ?. Here are just a few ways your investment with the Chamber can help you:

Boost your brand. You, your team and your current customers know your business rocks – but does everyone else? Our Business Awards recognize organizations large and small, for-profit and not-for-profit, who are innovating and making Colorado a better place to live and work. We’re looking for nominations in the following categories: small business, start-up business, green business, small nonprofit, large nonprofit and minority or woman-owned business. For every finalist, we help spread the word about your organization, ensuring your story gets in front of tens of thousands of business leaders. Apply by Jan. 25.

Grow your network. You can make countless connections at Chamber events throughout the year and many of those leads turn into real money for our companies. Come have a coffee with us at Net90 AM on Thursday; meet and celebrate with the best of our business community at the Colorado Business Hall of Fame on Jan. 31; or join us and be inspired by the 9NEWS Leader of the Year finalists, who will talk about their leadership journeys with Denver Business Journal Publisher and Market President Kevin Pitts on Feb. 5. Check the calendar.

Build your skills. Whether you want to write a business plan, improve your skills as a leader or create the roadmap for your company to give back in the community, we’ve got you covered. With Leading Edge for Entrepreneurs, our Denver Metro Small Business Development Center can help you start or grow your business over this 10-week course, starting Jan. 31. Or, if you want to focus on your leadership – at work or in the community – apply to be a Colorado’s Civic DNA Fellow with our Leadership Foundation by Feb. 4. Or, if you’re looking at how your business can give back, our Denver Metro SBDC and B:CIVIC can give you the tools you need to build a CSR plan with Good Business 101 on March 21 – Chamber members can attend for free with the discount code “Chamber”. Stay in the know. You know we advocate for you and your business at the Capitol – and this year is no different. We focus on issues like health care, education and infrastructure and all of these will be hot topics at this year’s session. We’ll be there to weigh in. You can follow the bills we’re taking positions on through our weekly policy alert, which kicks off for the 2019 session this week.  Get the policy alert.

Try our new perks. You may have noticed a Prius sporting our logo parked in front of our office. It’s not just there to advertise the Chamber ?. Chamber member eGo CarShare is partnering with us to ensure our members know there are 50-plus cars just like it around Denver and Boulder that can with your everyday transportation needs. And, are generously offering Chamber members a $100 carshare package, which includes a free application and driving credit, when you sign up as an eGo CarShare business member using the promo code DMC2019. If this isn’t enough stuff to keep you busy, you can always reach out to your membership representative or join us at our next Chamber Orientation to hear even more about all that’s available to you through your membership.
